Heaven’s on Fire (2023-24)

Heaven’s on Fire, named with a campy affection after the 1984 song by Kiss and as a reflection of the artist’s own chaotic emotions at the time, is a collection of paintings and mixed media pieces created between late 2023 and early 2024. The works were created as the artist navigated the end of a long term relationship, the deepening of some of her female friendships, and her lust to further cultivate her own spirituality. The work reflects a sort of wild femininity, in the style of a hermit witch who lives outside of the constraints of the mainstream artistic community, according to her own feelings and intuition.
